Coaching and Mentoring
We match girls with trusted mentors who guide them through personal and academic challenges, career exploration, and life planning.
Coaching and Mentoring are core components of the Butterfly Foundation for Girls’ approach to empowering young girls with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to navigate life successfully. Through structured and informal mentoring relationships and group coaching sessions, the Foundation connects girls with trained female mentors who serve as positive role models, offering guidance, encouragement, and support in both personal and academic areas. These sessions cover topics such as self-esteem, goal setting, leadership, emotional intelligence, career exploration, and decision-making.
Outreach Programs
We provide community-wide workshops, health awareness campaigns, emotional wellness sessions, and technology access for girls and their families.
The Outreach Programs of the Butterfly Foundation for Girls are vital in extending the foundation’s impact to girls outside the traditional school system, including those in underserved communities and orphanage homes. These programs are designed to reach vulnerable and at-risk girls through school visits, community campaigns, empowerment workshops, and direct engagements with orphanages. By creating safe spaces for learning and expression, the foundation equips girls with knowledge on self-esteem, personal hygiene, emotional well-being, and leadership, ensuring that no girl is left behind—regardless of her background or circumstances. A key feature of these outreach efforts is the distribution of the Becoming Me book, written by the foundation’s founder, Mrs. Temitope Agbaje, which serves as a guide for building self-worth and confidence.
Educational Scholarships
We offer tuition to girls who have lost one or both parents and at risk of dropping out of school due to financial barriers.
The Educational Scholarships offered by the Butterfly Foundation for Girls are a key part of the foundation’s commitment to breaking barriers and expanding access to quality education for girls from low-income backgrounds. These scholarships are designed to support academically promising but financially disadvantaged girls by covering essential educational costs such as school fees, uniforms, books, and learning materials. By reducing the financial burden on families, the foundation ensures that more girls can stay in school, focus on their studies, and pursue their dreams without interruption.
Beyond financial support, the scholarship program also includes mentorship and academic monitoring to help recipients thrive both personally and academically. Scholars are encouraged to participate in the Butterfly School Clubs and outreach activities, where they receive guidance, motivation, and leadership training. Through this holistic approach, the Butterfly Foundation For girls not only provides access to education but also nurtures future leaders who are confident, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
